Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is one of the biggest waterfalls in the world and the name of the near-by city in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Victoria Falls is a stunning site, that gathers tourists from all over the world. The falls are formed by the calm, but mighty Zambezi river, which form almost 2 km. wide before the falls turns in an impressive more than 100 m. high waterfall, which in the rainy season generates an spray viewable from 20 km. distance of Victoria Falls. This spray is the reason for the existence of the beautiful rain-forest in the area.
Victoria Falls are situated on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwean side is considered more bellyfull with "Devil's Cataract" and "Rainbow Falls"clearly visible. Due to politic and economic instability in Zimbabwe however, most of the tourists nowadays choose Livingstone city in safer Zambia as their bas base for exploring the falls. Nevertheless Victoria Falls city is well visited and relatively safe place to stay.
