Kariba

Lake Kariba is the biggest fresh water lake in Zimbabwe.
Lake Kariba is known as a fishing and cruise resort on Zambezi river in landlocked Zimbabwe, combined with the touristic flair of Kariba town, full of fancy hotels, casinos and bars.
This semi-artificial lake Kariba forms a remarkable water world which was expanded by the completion of a dam in the 1950's thus creating several interesting underwater ghost-forests. The area around the lake is covered by Matusadona national park, which holds wide variety of interesting wild life species.
