Bulawayo is the second largest city of Zimbabwe in Africa.
The city of Bulawayo is known for its architectural mix with some colonial flair and more modern African buildings. It is a commons day's stop on the way to Victoria Falls, but it makes also nice base for nature exploring as ti is close to Rhodes Matopos National Park with its exotic formations of huge granite boulders. There are also the ancient Khami ruins near-by that may interest anyone with love for historical sites. Other landmarks of the city of Bulawayo are the National Museum of history, Cecil Rhodes' grave and a well known game-hunting park.
Travelers are advised to keep their belongings at close and always to lock their rooms or cabins, as due to recent economical and political trouble, the city of Bulawayo has quite extensive network of thieves and pickpockets.
