Kawaza Village

Kawaza Village is a small sustainable tourism resort in Zambia.
The village of Kawaza is one of the first places in Zambia to introduce sustainable and agricultural tourism. This was driven by the constant flow of visitors to the near-by Luangwa National Park. The local Kunda peoples started this project in 1997 and from then on the visit to the village is considered as a must for every visitor that comes to this part of Africa.
The visit to Kawaza Village may include up to a week of stay with the local people, combined with living, observation and participation of all traditional local activities. The people of the village are willing and happy to share their culture with visitors, and given that almost all speak well English, this turns into an enriching experience.
