Vanuatu, known in the past as ‘New Hebrides Islands', is an island nation situated on the South Western part of the Pacific Ocean. There is evidence that the very first people who came to the archipelago of Vanuatu arrived there more than 3,000 years ago. Tourists love Vanuatu not only because of the beautiful beaches – many natural attractions and entertainment attractions may also be enjoyed there.
Port Vila may be considered the heart of tourism in Vanuatu. You'll find many restaurants in Port Vila with amazing views, comfortable hotels and the like. Water sports e.g. diving, parasailing, snorkelling, etc are also popular. If you are interested in adventure and exploration, climbing Vanuatu's Mount Yasur is something you'll enjoy. Efate is where you should go if you want to be on nice white beaches. The Cascade Waterfalls is also a well loved tourist spot in Vanuatu. Want to have a barbecue party? How about observing some dolphins? If so, head to Vanuatu's Lelepa Island.
