St. Moritz

St. Moritz (San Murezzan) is one of the most popular Swiss towns. It is a resort town where a lot of wealthy people spend their vacations. It has a very beautiful lake, magnificent mountains, and offers a variety of summer and winter sports.
A lot of people love St. Moritz because it has 300 days full of sunshine, while the remaining days are snowy ones, but those are perfect for people who dream of a Winter Wonderland, and of course for those who love snowboarding and skiing. Adventurous individuals interested in looking at glaciers and exploring an ice cave would surely love the Piz Corvatsch, a major attraction in the town. Every year, the ‘White Turf', a famous horse race held right on the lake of St. Moritz is flocked by many well-off individuals who come from various parts of the world.
St. Moritz, which gave birth to winter holidays, has been around since September of the year 1864, founded by Johannes Badrutt. It is up to now one of Switzerland's top vacation spots.
