Sudan is vast country in Africa, situated close to the source of the river of Nile and between the Red sea, Egypt and Kenya.
There are several interesting spots that worth visiting Sudan - the Nile valley, the coast of the Red sea, the ancient pyramids of Meroe and the capital Khartoum are all attractive to tourists. Unfortunately due to the recent conflicts in the country South Sudan became independent country and the Darfur region in Sudan is still unrest, s traveling in this particular part of Sudan is not advised.
The main attractions of Sudan apart of the pyramids of Meroe include the coral reefs of the red sea, the Omdurman camel market, the Arab souk and the National Museum in Khartoum and many interesting smaller towns and villages in the Nile valley, especially if visited aboard of a river cruise.
