Sirigaya, found in Sri Lanka, is a majestic rock formation about 200 meters in height. It is one of the reasons people visit Sri Lanka. Atop Sirigaya you'll find a palace, also considered a fortress, constructed during the 5th century. You'll see a pool once used by royal families, gardens and fascinating walkways when you look down from the Sirigaya.
Other interesting sites you'll find in Sirigaya include the Pidurangala Rock, where a giant Buddha statue is found nearby, as well as cave temples and a monastery for Buddhists; the Mapagala Rock which used to be a fortress similar to the fortress found on Sirigaya; and what's left of the Sigiri Maha Weva. If you desire to feel like you are visiting one of the Wonders of the World, try dropping by Sri Lanka's Sirigaya. It has qualities that are similar to the actual ‘members' of the 7 Wonders of the World. Surely, you'll feel relaxed and amazed when you're on the Sirigaya rock formation.
