Galle is a destination in Sri Lanka which was built in the year 1663 by the Dutch. It is a fort that measures more than 30 hectares and has many structures and points of interest that entice countless tourists to come there for a visit.
For beautiful sunset views, merely walking along Galle is recommended. Take note though that there are vendors along the walls that sell various things so expect them to ask you several times to buy from them. If you are wishing for good luck in your life, another thing you can do in Galle is to visit the Seenigama Temple where you can pray and make a wish afterwards give some donation. Antique collectors and gem collectors can also find several shops in Galle that offer antique pieces and gems. Galle is also home to a number of turtle hatcheries which will definitely catch the interest of both kids and adults.
