Colombo

Colombo is the capital city of Sri Lanka and is actually the largest city and also serves as the country's major port. Colombo is comprised of several gardens, markets, dining spots and colonial buildings, most of them fronting the beach. When in the city, there are several places you can visit and surely enjoy.
One of the Colombo tourist attractions you should check out is the National Museum of Colombo wherein you can view several exhibits, with the Kandyan Kings of the 17th centry exhibit considered the most popular. Want to experience riding an elephant or maybe you'd like to watch an elephant show? If so, the Colombo Zoological Gardens is the place to be. For nice views of the Indian Ocean, spend some time at the Galle Face Green Promenade and enjoy the view specifically as the sun sets.
