Sokcho

Sokcho is one of the most popular ‘tourism cities' in South Korea compared to other port cities. The city's major industry is fishing and it is known for its port: the Dongmyeong Port where beautiful views of the sea may be seen, a variety of seafood restaurants to eat in, and a lighthouse that provides nice lighting at night. Russia and Paekdusan are just a ferry ride away from Sokcho.
A popular Sokcho tourist attraction is the Abai Village where the TV series “Autumn In My Heart” was shot. The best Korean sundae: the Abai Sundae may also be sampled here. It is unique for its squid filling, unlike other sundaes that use pork. There are also hot springs found in Sokcho. Golf lovers also love the handful of golf courses in the city. When visiting Sokcho, do not forget to spend some time in the Seoraksan National Park, considered one of the most attractive parks in the Republic of South Korea. The park offers scenic views, magnificent temples, and rivers that are calming to look at.
