Seoul, South Korea's capital city since the 14th century is a modern metropolis loved by locals and tourists alike. Despite being occupied by the Communists twice during the Korean War, it still remains a popular city due to its successful rebuilding. Up to the present, there are still some structures e.g. the Namdaemun gate and some palaces that need to be remodelled, to add to the charm of Seoul.
Though Seoul has a reputation for traffic and for polluted air, a lot of tourists still enjoy vacationing in the area because of the nice attractions and interesting activities that can be visited and performed in Seoul. People who enjoy the nightlife and delectable foods should head to the restaurants and clubs in Hongdae. Shopping aficionados should not miss the trendy Apgujeong boutiques. Namsan Park considered as Seoul's symbol, BongEunSa, the most visited temple in the city, and Everland or the ‘Disneyland of Korea' are just a few of the many attractions that make Seoul touristy.
