Radovljica is located in northern Slovenia and has just over 18,000 people. It is at the skirt of the Karavanke mountain range's southern edge. The city has many sunny days and mild subalpine weather making it an excellent destination for tourists. The city center, the focal point has been fully restored with a castle and a medieval city wall. Radovljica has no luxurious hotels or high prices shops nor traffic congestion. What you will find is warm welcoming locals and a peaceful tranquil atmosphere. The Apiculture Museum has much of the history of the town as well as many historical items of the country. Many festivals take place throughout the year making Radovljica one of the top cultural destinations in Slovenia. Many walking paths are available to enjoy the healthy climate the town offers and for those a bit more active you can go rafting on the Sava River. You can also trek up to Syeti Peter, which will take you to the town's highest point.
