Trencin is historical medieval town in Slovakia.
Most of the attractions of this interesting place include architectural landmarks from the historical high of the town in the Middle Ages. In Trencin you may see some Roman inscription, the Main Square with Gothic architecture, the Plague Pillar, the Jewish district, the Štúr Square and the main attractions - Marian's Castle and Čachtice Castle. Čachtice Castle is known for the ‘Blood' Countess Alžbeta Bathory, who is reputed to have murdered hundreds of young women in the 17th century.
