Bratislava is the capital and biggest city of Slovakia in Central Europe.
The city of Bratislava is one of the classic old European cities, full of history and charm. It is a city build mostly in Habsburg Baroque architectural style with many Renaissance and Baroque elements.
The most remarkable landmark of Bratislava is the Castle dominating the town, around it are couple of interesting museums, like the Museum of Jewish Culture and the Municipal Museum. Other landmarks are: the Blue House, the remains of an ancient Danube tower, the Baroque Church of the Order of the Holy Trinity, the Renaissance style Archaeological Museum and Maximilian's Fountain, the Old Town Hall and the Classicist style Primate's Palace.
All of the landmarks of Bratislava are situated in the Old town, washing the north bank of Danube river, while the south bank of the river is populated with more modern buildings. The city itself is quite packed and easy accessible, so everything is very conveniently placed.
