Banska Bystrica

Banska Bystrica is one of the biggest cities of Slovakia in Central Europe.
The city of Banska Bystrica is known for it strategic position between mountains, which makes it a visited tourist center both in the winter and the summer. It is also surrounded bu several known Slovak natural parks, which gather nature loves from the region in Banska Bystrica.
The city itself has several landmarks, that are worth visiting: the roman church of Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the house of the wealthy miner Veit Mühlstein, the central Slovak museum and the museum of the Slovak national uprising.
Banska Bystrica is easily accessible by train and car from most of the Central European major airports, as the airport of the city was closed in 2009.
