Perast

Perast is a Serbia and Montenegro town, specifically found in the Montenegro portion of the country. Perast may be small, but it is haven to people who just want to have some peace and quiet, maybe escape from busier cities and towns such as Budva and Kotor. Strolling along peaceful streets and enjoying some visits to churches and museums – these are the usual activities you can do in Perast.
Perast may not have beaches like the ones found in cities nearby, but it has docks where you can just sit back and relax while viewing the Kotor Bay and even do some sunbathing. A popular attraction you can head to when in Perast is the ‘Our Lady of the Rock', a church built on the man made island found near the middle part of the bay. The church is known for its marble structure, silver designs and decors and several attractive paintings. Another well known architecture in Perast is the Zmajevic Palace, also known as the ‘Bishopric' because of the fact that it used to be the home of two bishops.
