Novi Sad

Novi Sad is a city that used to be called ‘Serbian Athens' because of its museums, mini parks, theatres, art galleries and quaint cafes. It is found right on the Danube River and is one of the places that are rich in culture in the country of Serbia and Montenegro.
One of the most popular Novi Sad attractions is the Petrovaradin Fortress, a symbol of strength as no enemy was ever able to conquer it or bring it down. The Novi Sad City Museum is now found in the fortress. Dvorac Dundjerski is also an interesting site to visit as it is an ancient castle, still preserved up to this day. When heading to Novi Sad in the summer, Strand is a must visit, as it is considered the most beautiful beach in the Danube area. Strand is open from May to September. Novi Sad may be a small city, but it is big in terms of its value in the tourism industry. It is one of the reasons why a lot of people decide to spend vacation in Serbia and Montenegro.
