Serbia and Montenegro are provinces of Yugoslavia, and now, these two have been combined and may be considered the new Yugoslavia. What you'll find in this country are cultural spots, amazing landscapes and delectable cuisine. In the 90's, Civil War began and the tourism industry, of course, was ‘murdered' just as countless Yugoslavians were murdered, buildings destroyed, etc. Up to the present, Serbia and Montenegro is still being rebuilt, and little by little tourists have started visiting the area again, most especially Belgrade and the handful of resorts in the country.
Monasteries are the main Serbia and Montenegro attractions, with the Studenica Monastery as the most popular. It was built in honour of the Virgin Mary and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A town worth visiting that's full of Roman architecture is Nis, also known as the birthplace of Emperor Constantine. The Lovcen Park is a well known Serbia and Montenegro spot where fun exploration and hiking may be enjoyed.
