Romania

Located on the western coastline of the Black Sea and north of the Balkan Peninsula, Romania is a country filled with a rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Although most famously known as the home of Dracula and the Bran Castle (the inspiration for Count Dracula's castle), this country boasts more than just fictional popularity.
Romania features an array of stunning landscape of seaside villages, medieval churches, and lush forests that beguile every traveller that passes through it. One of the most prominent attractions in the country is the Carpathian Mountains which is home to a healthy population of wolves, brown bears, and lynxes.
Many of Romania's medieval churches and monasteries, such as the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina in Moldovia, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Meanwhile, the capital of Bucharest is a stark but welcome contrast to the rural ambience of Maramures and Sighisoara with its vibrant night scene and city conveniences.
