The capital is Doha, which is positioned at the central east shoreline. Qatar is occupying the little Qatar Peninsula at the northeastern shoreline of the great Arabian Peninsula. Its single ground boundary is with the Saudi Arabia from the south, with the remaining of its region bounded from the Persian Gulf. A channel of the Persian Gulf divides Qatar from the close island country of Bahrain.
