Peshawar is one of the ancient towns in Pakistan, located very near Afghanistan. It is the North West Frontier Province's capital and serves as a trading centre between Europe and Central Asia because of its good location. Being a lively town, Peshawar attracts not only businessmen but tourists from all over.
Peshawar Museum is one of the frequently visited sites in the area. If history is what you're interested in, for sure you'll not want to miss dropping by the Bala Hisar Fort, a tall fort that has a royal look. People who can't live without ‘modernity' will feel at home at Hayatabad – a portion of Peshawar that is home to various shopping centres. Ghanta Ghar or the Clock Tower is also interesting as it was given by Queen Elizabeth. It is part of a pair, with the other clock tower is displayed in England. Summertime in Peshawar is a good time for mountain hiking. In fact, several hotels offer hiking tours. For a colourful vacation, do not forget to visit Peshawar.
