Karachi is Pakistan's largest city and is actually considered the financial centre of the country. Different nationalities settle here, aside from Karachi born locals, giving Karachi a very big population. It is locally known as the City that Never Sleeps -- a term also given to New York, USA. True, traffic in the city is terrible and power losses occur often which can be hard during summer, but there are lots of Karachi attractions and sites that make one's visit worthwhile.
Port Grand is one of the most popular Karachi sites, located in the Downtown area, where a lot of restaurants, malls and galleries may be visited. The city is also the home of the tallest fountain in the world: the Water Jet fountain which is open only during weekends. The National Museum of Pakistan is also found in Karachi. The museum showcases an axe that's 2 million years in age plus a huge photo collection of the Independence movement or the Freedom Movement. Zoos and amusement parks are also plentiful.
