The northern part of Pakistan is very popular because of Hunza, or Hunza Valley. The valley was ‘opened' ever since the 1970s, and is considered Pakistan's mountain kingdom where a cool breeze may be felt and green surroundings observed against a backdrop of snowy mountain peaks. Hunza nowadays is frequented by tourists.
The capital of Hunza Valley is Karimabad, known for scenic views of the snow covered Rakaposhi peaks. If an ethereal ambiance is what you are in search of, Karimabad is the place to be. Another Hunza attraction is the Ganish Village – the oldest Hunza village where several ancient mosques (about 800 years old) may be seen. Baltit, constructed hundreds of years ago, is another must visit site. It is a castle very much like the ones portrayed in fairy tales, with windows that give people great views of the valley. Camping, mountain biking, riding horses, and gliding are some of the popular activities you can do in the Hunza Valley.
