Khasab is the biggest town in Musandam peninsula of Oman in the Middle East.
The fishing port of Khasab is one of the most traditional fishing settlements of Oman. It is considered the capital of Musandam peninsula, which is known as Norway of Arabia, due to the picturesque khors (fjords in Arab) at the coastline of the peninsula.
The town of Khasab is also a known center for production of the traditional Arab fishing dhows - a type of boat made by hand, usually from a single teak tree. Those dhows are still pretty much available in the fishing port of Khasab.
