Stavanger

Stavanger is the forth largest city of Norway, and one of the most quickly growing.
The city of Stavanger is situated is south-west Norway and is formed as a city in the 10^th century, but settlement here dates some 10.000 years ago. Its position as a major fishing port led the city to one of the biggest fish production centers in Norway by the end of the 19^th century, and later it developed and other industries, ti end up as the oil capital of the country, dye to the close proximity of the of-shore oil platforms of Norway.
The oil industry made Stavanger an international city, may be the most international of wj\hole Norway, with its own British and French schools added by the university of
Stavanger and the "Emigration Centre for Genealogical Studies and Contact Between Norway and North America". Another remarkable places in Stavanger are The Canning Museum, the remarkable Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock)  with views to the Lysefjord and the fjord itself.
