Saipan

The island of Saipan is the biggest island of the Northern Mariana Islands and holds the capital and the airport of the islands. 
Despite being a capital Saipan is a calm and laid back place with many leisure activities available. It holds the largest in the Northern Mariana Islands collection of World War II Japanese cannons, tanks and equipment preserved in a limestone cave. 
Saipan also holds some of the best beaches and diving spots in the country, with its western shore: encircled by a barrier reef, which creates a lagoon with white sand beaches.
