Managua

Managua is the capital and biggest city of Nicaragua in Central America.
The city of Managua is situated almost in the center of Nicaragua and is rally the heart of the country. Big part of the city was damaged by the earthquake of 1972, and the process of rebuilding was not able to create notable architectural landmarks. The most noticeable building of this period is the new cathedral with its pink and purple dome.
Other see sides in Managua include the National Museum, the Rubén Darío National Theater and the national stadium of Nicaragua. The city is also a good base for exploring lake Managua and the near-by active volcano, as well as some other attractions of Nicaragua like the Petroglyph and the sea side resorts of the country.
