Nepal is located in southern Asia between Tibet and China. In Nepal are eight of the 10 highest mountain peaks in the world. Included in those eight is Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world. Besides the obvious things to do in Nepal, like mountain climbing there are many activities to enjoy. Rafting is a popular activity in Nepal with rapids of varying degrees in both the Pokhara and Kathmandu areas. More than ten rivers in the country all have sufficient rapids to make the trip more than enjoyable. Kayaking is often enjoyed in the many rivers, but depends on the height of the waters. Mountain biking is also a popular attraction in Nepal and is there are very challenging courses that have been set up to enjoy. A number of outfitters offer bike rentals from the basic to the professional. Motorcycling is popular in the country as a way of enjoying the countryside and seeing all the beautiful landscapes.
