Walvis Bay is the major port city in Namibia, Africa.
Even though Walvis Bay was discovered in 1487 by Diaz it was established in 1793 by the Cape Dutch. 2 years afterward it was occupied by the UK. In 1910 Walvis Bay turned into fraction of the South African Union. After Namibia's self-government, the only bottomless ocean port on the Namibian shore stayed under South African law till 1994.
