Mingun is as small island city in Myanmar. It saw its biggest days i the end of the 18th century when Myanmar's king Bodawpaya started an impressive building project with the goal to build the biggest pagoda temple in the world. Unfortunately the project saw difficulties due to economic crisis in the very end of the 18th century and was eventually abandoned.
Nowadays attractions of Mingun are the remaining basement and bricks of the pagoda, along with the world's biggest untracked and working bell, which is considered and the major see-side of Mingun. The bell has the impressive dimensions of 4 m. hight and almost 5 m. diameter at the opening and weights almost 90 tons.
