Inle Lake is a lake situated in central Myanmar. It is a scenery place surrounded by several small villages which look like build directly in the water and in some way it is so. The houses are reachable only by boat and they are build on stilts over the water.
All this scenery makes Inle Lake an interesting place to visit, as it offers the uniqueness of a very traditional village homes build inside the lake with the wonderful scenery of the boat trip that is needed to get to the villages.
There are two ways to reach the lake - by motor boats or by small "leg-rowing" fishing boats. As the noise of the motor boats spoils the tranquility and peacefulness of the place, it is recommend to visit Inle Lake with the rowing boats, should you have the time and patience for this.
Featured place to visit: Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery
