Agadir is known as the resort city of Morocco. During the year 1960, a strong earthquake left Agadir in ruins – today, those ruins and damages are no longer existent, in fact, Agadir's tourism is lively specifically because of the beautiful beaches found in the area.
Aside from the usual beach activities e.g. swimming and sunbathing, surfing is popular in Agadir. Anchor Point, the Imesouane Bay, etc are examples of Agadir surfing destinations a lot of people flock to. There are also several surf schools where you can learn all about surfing. Apart from doing beach and ocean based activities, there are still other things you can do in Agadir. For one, you can drop by the Agadir Museum which showcases Berber items e.g. clothing, jewellery, amongst others. Coco Polizzi's Medina is also interesting as it is the labour of love of Coco Polizzi whose goal was to make a traditional medina. Souk El Had is also a must visit as it has thousands of stalls where you can buy almost any thing.
