Morocco is found in North Africa, but is a country that has European influence because of being under French rule in the past, thus the African and European culture combined make Morocco quite unique. The country shares borders with Algeria, Western Sahara, Melilla and Ceuta, and is also near Gibraltar. Morocco used to be occupied by the French, but then gained independence in the year 1956.
Tangier is Morocco's port city, which is where Spanish ferry services dock. Tangier's most famous attractions are the pristine beaches. Casablanca is considered a modern Moroccan city, with the King Hassan II mosque as the main attraction, which is one of the largest mosques on Earth. Fez is an old-fashioned city with the ancient medina (Old City) that holds a lot of surprises for visitors. There are actually so many tourist sites and activities people can do in Morocco, which is no wonder why countless tourists head to Morocco not only for religious visits but for adventure and vacation.
