Valletta is Malta's capital, a city founded by Malta's Grandmaster: Jean de la Valette. Valletta is part of UNESCO's World Heritage List and is popular worldwide for its amazing architecture.
St. John's Co Cathedral is one of the most well known Valletta attractions. Its ceiling is actually a fresco created by popular artist Mattia Preti. The graves of the Knights of Malta are also found in the cathedral, praised for beautiful designs on the marble. People who wish to have an overview of the history of Malta and the culture of the natives should also try the so called Malta Experience – a 30 minute ‘tour' and education about the important events that made Malta the country it is today. Valletta is also famous for the Manoal Theatre which is preserved and still used for musical performances even though it has been around ever since the 17th century. There are so many sites and structures both locals and foreigners will love visiting in Valletta.
