Luxembourg City

Luxembourg City is Luxembourg's capital city. It is called the ‘Gibraltar of the North' because of its beautiful plateaus and valleys. The city is a thousand years old and is even included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Luxembourg City offers you a combination of old and modern sites and attractions such as the century old gorges, the Philharmonie, trendy boutiques and so on.
Luxembourg City's Old Town is where a lot of shops and restaurants are situated. Expect the shops to sell merchandise that are on the costly side. The MUDAM is an interesting museum designed by none other than I.M. Pei known for the Louvre Pyramid. The museum displays the great works of Luxembourg artists, aside from having a unique structure. Luxembourg City is also well known for several restaurants that have been rated with the Michelin Star, meaning that those eateries are considered the finest in the world. Examples of must visit dining spots are the La Fontaine, Le Palais D'Asie, amongst others.
