Teyateyaneng is a traditional town in Lesotho, Southern Africa
.
The town of Teyateyaneng is known as a center for local crafts and traditional art, situated on a highland plateau some 40 km. north of the capital Maseru. The town emerged in 1886 as a capital of Berea's Chief Masupha.
Teyateyaneng offers good opportunity for hunting for local art and crafts artifacts as well as traditional carpets, which are its only major industry. The town is also visited as a part of round trips from the capital Maseru, as it has relatively good tarmac road connecting with the capital and South African borders.
