Mokhotlong

Mokhotlong is the center of Lesotho's highlands in Africa.
The town of Mokhotlong is largely known as a base for exploring the highlands of Lesotho. It is a stop for several mountain sporting events like High Altitude Summer Marathon and Roof of Africa Rally. It is also the home of Letseng diamond mine, which is the highest-elevated diamond mine in the world and the seventh largest in the world.
Mokhotlong is usually used as a transportation hub and a base for exploring the near-by rural areas. The highlands of Lesotho offer hiking trails, horse trails, rock climbing, white water rafting, fly and trout fishing, golfing, bird and game watching and even safari opportunities for their visitors.
