Luang Prabang is a town located in the central-northern side of Laos and is also inserted in the World Heritage List of the Unesco. This city is not that modern, being few cars and a lack of electricity use, but can be considered as one of the pearls of this country. In fact it counts something like 32 ancient temples built in a top natural spot among the rivers Khan and Mekong surrounded by the mountains.
However, besides these great temples, other monuments that deserve to be visited are the Museum of Royal Palace, the Wat Xieng Khong and Wat Wisulanat.
Not far from the city, the caves of Pak Ou contain different statues of Buddha of any size and also there are the waterfalls of Kuang Si.
