Bali is a popular destination for globetrotters who want to enjoy the sun, surf, and sand. And it's no wonder, really, as Bali is home to some of the world's best beaches, where you can party it up, live it down, and relax in peace.
If you're going on a trip to Bali, you might want to check out what kind of environment or accommodation type you want, because the tropical island's beaches offer a variety of pleasure and leisure. Here, we list the different sandy shores of Bali.

This beach is located on the eastern side of Bali and offers a range of accommodation, from budget hotels to 5-star resorts, as well as a couple of excellent restaurants. Candidasa is also the ideal place to explore the East Bali, as it offers numerous historic landmarks you can visit and colourful traditions you can witness.

Jimbaran Beach

Famous for its view of the sparkling waters of Jimbaran Bay, Jimbaran Beach offers pockets of secluded areas perfect for a tranquil getaway. It is located on the Southwestern coast of Bali and is connected to mainland Bali by a narrow isthmus. Jimbaran is also the home of many luxury hotels, such as the InterContinental Bali and Four Seasons Resort, which makes it a favoured destination of celebrities.

Legian Beach

If you're looking for a place to get a tan and enjoy sundown parties, then Legian Beach is one of the places you should stay at in Bali. Second only to Kuta in popularity among tourists, Legian boasts white-sand beaches and an extravagant nightlife. However, don't forget to savour a walk on Double Six Beach, or drink by a sun lounger as you watch the waves roll to the shores.

The capital of Bali and the hub of its economy, Denpasar may sometimes look like place tourists might pass through. Typically, visitors to the island head straight to the beach, forgetting that there are places like Denpasar which can offer them a lot more than just sandy shores. In Denpasar, you can enjoy many historical places and monuments, as well as museums that offer glimpses to Bali's rich past and culture.

Kuta Beach

There's no doubt that Kuta is the most famous beach on Bali. The beach where everyone flocks to for a taste of the island's famed nightlife. Home to a number of entertainment venues, pubs, and bars, Kuta is even more alive after dark. But aside from that, visitors can enjoy various attractions, shopping options, and a range of accommodation to suit their budget. You can add to that, the convenience of being close to the Ngurah Rai International Airport and a thriving surfing scene.

Nusa Dua

Designed to be an exclusive, all-inclusive tourist destination in Bali, Nusa Dua boasts a complex of upscale shopping complex, luxury hotels, an 18-hole golf course, and pristine sandy beaches. It is the perfect place for couples, honeymooners, and families. Though it is considered as the most developed locale in the island, Nusa Dua still houses a museum, key landmarks, and temples.

Sanur Beach

The very first of Bali's beach resorts, Sanur Beach features an idyllic, coastal atmosphere. It is home to resorts with landscaped gardens where you can view spectacular sunsets. This former fishing village has managed to maintain its charm and wealth in the arts and culture, making it the ideal spot to enjoy both contemporary and traditional Bali.

Seminyak Beach

This beach is considered as Bali's most hip beach. It is where many of the island's luxurious resorts, such as W Retreat & Spa, are located. Seminyak Beach is also home to many excellent restaurants and chic boutiques. Stroll through Jalan Petitenget and savour world-class cuisines from some of the top restaurants in Bali. After dinner, head to the lively nightspots of Seminyak, which includes the popular Ku De Ta and Potato Head Beach Club.

Tanjung Benoa Beach

Like the other beaches of Bali, Tanjong Benoa used to be small fishing village with a dock. However, due to the rapid development of Bali as a tourist destination in Asia, the beach has become one of the places where visitors flock to enjoy water sports. As such, many prominent brand hotels like the Conrad, Ramada, Novotel, and Mirage that are located here offer a variety of marine activities.
