Naples is the capital of Campania province and 3rd largest city of Italy. It is a controversial city as it is considered and a good place to start your vacation in south Italy, and in same time it is much less safe and touristic like, than the northern cities of Italy.
The history of Naples is quite extensive - it started like Greek colony 600 y. BC and after that was owned by Roman, Byzantines, Normans, French, Aragonese, Hapsburg, Bourbons, Bonapartes and the Savoys before entering in Italy. It's high as in 1266, when Charles I of Anjou made it his capital.
