Kindia

Kindia is a trading center in Guinea, West Africa.
The city of Kindia is located inland on the railroad Conakry–Kankan and is serving as a trading point of the area. It hosts the cloth market of this part of the country and is known for its cloth and weaving products and its indigo dyeing center.
The city hosts the National School of Agriculture and the Guinean Institute of Fruit Research. Recently near the city were discovered bauxite deposits, and it now serves as a transportation hub for the raw bauxite.
