Tumon is located in the west coast of Guam and is the core of the island's tourist industry, as well as Guam's economic hub. Tourism is the main driver of the island's economy and Tumon certainly attracts the visitors with its large shopping malls, which include the Micronesia Mall and a 24-hour Kmart both located off the popular Hotel Row. There's also the Duty Free Galleria, Tumon Sands Plaza, and Acanta Mall. Because of the number of shopping malls and arcades here, Tumon earned the title "Paris of the Pacific."
The town also has a number of fun attractions that tourists should not miss. These include Underwater World, which has the longest tunnel aquarium in the world, the Daring Sling Shot ride, and the Sandcastle's Magic on Ice Show. Visitors also flock to Tumon's beaches to enjoy the refreshing waters. And like Las Vegas, Tumon is home to many strip and dance clubs, the largest of which is called "Blur." In the northern part of Tumon Bay is where one will find many of the hotels.
