Piti is a town situated on the western shores of Guam. The village is also known as The Port City as it holds the commercial port if the island at Apra Harbor. Not only that, Piti is also home to Guam's largest power plants.
The village's name was derived from the Chamorro term "puti," which means to ache or hurt. Tourists will easily know they're in Piti as the first landmarks they will see when heading south are the Piti Underwater Observatory and the Fish Eye Marine Park. From there, the town's coastline continues through 2 beach parks: the Pedro Santos Memorial Park and Tepungan Beach Park.
Piti might be small, but it boasts a number of remarkable sites and destinations for its visitors. That includes the historic Piti Guns, which dates back to the early 1940s during the Japanese occupation of the island. For something fun to enjoy with the family, a visit to Atlantis Guam is a must. Here, tourists can go on a 45-minutes trip underwater on the Atlantis Adventure's submarine.
