Bolgatanga is a regional center in Ghana, Africa.
The town of Bolgatanga is situated close to the border of Ghana and Burkina Faso, to the north of the country. The town is quite laid back and calm place, which you can use as a base for exploring the near-by picturesque villages.
The most interesting trips in the area of Bolgatanga are the colorfully painted villages in the area, which represent traditional see-side in this part of Ghana. Unfortunately their picturesque houses are slowly disappearing, replaced by more modern housing.
One of the most visited places in Bolgatanga is Roots Arts Gallery and Cafe, which offer genuine taste of African arts and real local coffee.
