Haapsalu, located on the west coast of Estonia, some 100 kilometers from Tallinn, is a small seaside resort town. The history of Haapsalu dates back to 13th century however, it remained insignificant until the Russian royal families found out about curative mud-facilities during 19th century. Since then it has been attracting visitors from all over Europe, mostly thanks to its famous warm sea water, fresh air and curative-mud.
Haapsalu´s center is packed with historic wooden houses, a small town hall and narrow streets which repeatedly bring you to the sea. Haapsalu castle is the biggest single nave cathedral in Baltic states and is the city´s most important attraction. Every year,  August Blues Festival brings some groove to this silent and peaceful town.
