Banos

Banos is one of Ecuador´s most famous tourist routes thanks to its beautiful waterfalls, curing thermal baths and breathtaking scenery.  It is also very close to Ecuador´s biggest, active volcano "Tungurahua". It is so active that the whole city was evacuated during 1999/2000 period when it erupted. It is relatively easy to reach this volcano since the city is already situated on the hill. It is also very easy to get around in the city since it is such a small one, you can walk anywhere in 15 minutes. During the hot springs season, don´t miss out the chance to get in the thermal baths, take a tour in the fascinating amazon jungle or ride horses on the hills surrounding the city.
