Ostrava

Ostrava is the third largest city of the Czech Republic. It was part of the Amber Road which was an ancient trade route for amber. The city used to be dominated and enveloped in smog because of Vitkovice Steel Works and other factories. After the industrial factories were closed down, the city became one of the greenest cities. It attracts more and more tourists every year.
Compared to other cities, Ostrava attractions may not be as amazing but, they should not be disregarded or ignored. There are four theatres in the city: the National Theatre, the Puppet Theatre, the Chamber Theatre, and the Petr Bezruc Theatre. The Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra also originated here and is considered one of the best orchestras in Europe. Music lovers will also love the fact that the popular Ostrava event: Colours of Ostrava is actually an international music festival that's worth checking out.
