Brno, the city second in size to Prague, is found in between the Svratka and the Svitava rivers, enveloped by hills. It is considered as the cultural seat of Southern Moravia, and can be reached via several modes of transportation: air (it has its own airport), train, bus, and car.
Most of the Brno attractions are historical, with the Spilberk Castle located on Spilberk Hill, considered the most famous. This structure is very impressive and has been built in the 13th century, serving as home to several Czech Republic kings. Museums in the Spilberk Castle, a lookout tower that gives breathtaking views of the city, are some of the things that make the place worth visiting.
One of the Brno attractions that's interesting is the Planetarium, which the kids will really love. It teaches about the Solar System and Star Gazing and holds amazing sky shows.
Motor Racing is also a popular event in Brno. The Moto GP and Czechoslovakian Brand Prix attract viewers from all over the world.
