Zadar

Zadar, like Split, belongs to the Dalmatian region, and is located along the Adriatic coast. It is a nice historic city and deserves a stay, with points of interest like the St. Donatus Church, the Roman forum and many Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance buildings and churches.
The historic character of Zadar is mixed with the modern lifestyle of fish restaurants, cafes or lounge bars close to sea.
Outside the gates of the historic centre, a trip to the magnificent National Park of Kornati islands is worth to admire the beauty of Dalmatia's nature, with its 89 little islands.
Last but not least it is surrounded by a beautiful sea and beaches not crowded like Istrian coasts.
